audIT.app gives food businesses a paperless way to run their internal audits and stay on top of constantly changing standards. Instead of chasing spreadsheets and paper trails, teams manage non-conformances, schedules and reporting in one place, freeing them to focus on the audits themselves rather than the administration around them. We built the platform end to end across web and mobile, on a scalable stack hosted and managed on AWS.
Internal auditing in the food industry is high-stakes and heavily standardised, and the standards keep moving. The product had to make going paperless genuinely easier than the old way, while preserving the structure, traceability and accuracy that compliance demands. It also had to perform reliably across web and mobile, and handle documents, evidence and reporting without becoming slow or unwieldy as data grew.
We started by mapping how audit teams actually work day to day: how non-conformances are raised, tracked and closed, how schedules are planned, and where paper was costing the most time. We built the platform in phases, tackling the most demanding features as we went, on a React front end with a Node.js and Express back end. MongoDB keeps data retrieval fast as records accumulate, AWS handles hosting and server management with S3 for asset storage, and CI/CD pipelines kept delivery quick and dependable throughout.
