Overview

OSCE.AI helps medical students prepare for their OSCE exams by holding real conversations with AI chatbot patients. Students take histories across a wide range of presentations, from headache and fever to abdominal pain and respiratory issues, and build clinical confidence through repeated, low-stakes practice. We designed and built the mobile experience around realistic patient simulation and a gamified feedback loop.

Making exam practice feel like the real thing

OSCE preparation usually depends on scarce role-play partners and tutor time, so students rarely get enough realistic reps. The product needed to recreate the pressure and unpredictability of a live patient encounter while remaining available on demand.

Our approach

Research first, then build

We mapped how students actually revise for clinical exams and where their confidence breaks down, then built around realistic AI patient conversations organised by presentation. A gamified feedback layer turns each attempt into a measurable learning moment, and weekly challenges keep students returning and progressing at their own pace.
