TicketView takes the guesswork out of buying event tickets. It compares prices across the major marketplaces, Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek and VividSeats, by pulling live listings from their public APIs and presenting them side by side. Fans can search an event, see how prices and seating stack up across sources, and make a confident choice without bouncing between apps. We built it as a React Native app backed by a MERN platform and cloud infrastructure.
Ticket prices for the same event can differ wildly across marketplaces, and each one exposes its data differently. The challenge was to pull live listings from four separate APIs, normalise them into a single comparable view, and keep that data fast and trustworthy. The app also had to handle subscriptions cleanly and stay reliable as traffic spiked around popular events.
We focused first on the comparison itself: how to fetch, sanitise and reconcile listings from Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek and VividSeats into one consistent view a fan could trust. We built the app in React Native on a MERN platform, with custom middleware to sanitise incoming requests and Stripe to handle subscriptions. AWS infrastructure with S3 and SES, plus Firebase and CI/CD pipelines, kept the platform scalable and quick to ship, delivered through agile scrum with constant feedback.
